You may or may not consider Realtors essential to your real estate transaction. But you really should think twice about that - for instance, would you dare consider going into court with no attorney? Or would you take your car to an ice cream parlor for repairs? That would be crazy, right? Because you realize that there is special knowledge and skill required in order to be effective in getting some tasks done correctly. Real estate is no exception. Real estate is complicated and it's not that hard to get into a mess.
Your Atlanta real estate agent has been through the education process and knows how to avoid the pitfalls that can derail a real estate transaction. If they've been in the field for very long, they've gotten to experience a wide variety of transactions and have seen how missing small details can have a very negative affect on your bottom line. A good Atlanta real estate agent stays current with the laws and regulations that are constantly changing in real estate. They know best how to keep you from getting tripped up and how to make sure you get the best deal possible. People have funny ideas about what is legal and what's not. A good example would be withholding pertinent infomation regarding the condition of the home or a crime that had been committed there.

You may be pleasantly surprised.
I know this is not my first article that stresses the fact that you should employ the services of an Atlanta Realtor. You're probabaly all sick and tired of hearing me drone on and on about how you might really mess up if you try to go into a real estate transaction unrepresented. But I stand by that remark. And I believe just as strongly about the fact that some Realtors are simply more experienced and knowledgeable than others.. And I haven't even touched the subjects of Ethics and loyalty.

But hear me out. I realize that there are some realtors who don't really care about their clients. There are some who don't know what they're doing and who don't care who gets hurt in the process of them getting a commission. However, be assured that for every realtor that's like that, there are many more who are not. All the Realtors are not out to rip you off. Most real estate agents truly want you to have a great experience and get a great deal on your new home.
Real Estate is a funny business. Most of what you learn is learned on the job, not in a classroom. It's not that they don't try to teach you everything before you get out into the field, but there's just so much to learn. Real estate agents are independent contractors who represent the broker and because of this set-up, agents are sometimes forced to learn on their own. Since it's not a salary type position, there is a lot of competition. This is particularly true with smaller Mom and Pop agencies that aren't quite as strict as some of the bigger agencies.
